Visualizing the Vote

As part of the 'Team Them', I contributed to the 'Visualizing the Vote' project aimed at creating universally accessible educational materials for Spokane County’s diverse population. The project focused on overcoming language barriers to empower all citizens to participate in the voting process. We used visual communication strategies to simplify complex voting information and enhance civic engagement, ensuring inclusivity for non-English speakers.

Women Helping Women Fund (WHWF)

This project involved designing two PSA posters and corresponding social media posts for the Women Helping Women Fund, a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering women and children. The posters emphasized themes of collective giving and the impact of women's philanthropy, aligning with WHWF’s mission to foster community support and uplift women. The designs aimed to capture the spirit of "fun philanthropy" while being community-centric and aligned with WHWF's brand guidelines.

Father's Daughter - Movie Fanzine

The "Pearl" movie fanzine is a deep dive into the psyche of Pearl, a complex character whose delusions of romance and stardom fuel her dark ambitions. This project involved an exploration of her world through various media elements, including pre-watch brainstorming, scene analysis, and artistic interpretations.

In this fanzine, I documented the process of creating a unique narrative through the combination of still images, quotes, fan art, and personal sketches. The work also included organizing these elements into a cohesive layout that reflects Pearl's dual nature—a girl trapped between the harsh reality of her life and her vivid, often disturbing fantasies.

Girl in Lockdown

"Girl in Lockdown" is a deeply personal zine that began as a bullet journal in January 2020, transforming over time into a poignant record of life during the lockdown. This project captures the raw, authentic emotions and daily experiences I documented during this period, preserving the integrity of my handwriting and doodles.

The zine features a soft, pastel color palette designed to reflect the introspection and growth I experienced. The digital file was carefully prepared for a unique printing process using a risograph printer. This technique allowed me to produce vibrant, textured prints that give the zine a handmade feel, adding depth and personality to the final product.

Each page of the zine was folded and bound by hand, with special attention given to the cover, which serves as the introduction to my story. "Girl in Lockdown" stands as a tangible reminder of a time when the world, and my life, changed in profound ways, blending traditional journaling with modern printing techniques.
